Overview cards explained

What each card on the Overview page shows, how it is worked out and how to read it.

The Overview page is the first page you see. The buttons at the top right (Today, Week, Month, Year, All time) set the period for the cards that use closed trades.

Portfolio size

The total starting balance of all your accounts: the capital you are trading with. It is the same figure as Portfolio Size on the Analytics page, and it only changes when you add or remove an account or change an account's starting balance.

Under it you see:

  • The percentage return over the chosen period: closed profit compared with the portfolio size.
  • Equity now: the live value of all your accounts, which is balance plus the profit or loss of trades that are still open.

Example: three accounts that started at $10,000, $25,000 and $5,000 show a portfolio size of $40,000. If they are now worth $40,200 in total, the line under it reads "Equity now $40,200.00".

Closed net profit

Your profit or loss on trades that closed in the chosen period, after commission and swap. Open trades are not counted until they close.

Under it you see the percentage that profit represents and the number of trades closed.

Win rate

The share of closed trades in the period that ended in profit.

Under it:

  • PF is the profit factor: gross profit divided by gross loss. Above 1.0 means winners made more than losers lost.
  • won and lost are the counts behind the percentage.

Example: 258 won and 186 lost is 58.1%.

Copy speed

The average time your copies took, in milliseconds, from the copier seeing your master trade to the slave's broker confirming the fill.

Under it:

  • fastest is your quickest copy.
  • 95% under means 95 out of 100 copies were faster than that figure. It shows your normal worst case without rare outliers.

The card is green when the average is under 250 ms. For every single copy, open Execution Latency.

Performance

A chart of your results over the chosen period. Switch between Equity (your combined equity over time) and Net profit (running closed profit).

The numbers above the chart:

  • Start and End: the value at the start and at the end of the period.
  • Max drawdown: the largest fall from a high point to a later low point in the period, in money and as a percentage.
  • Profitable days: days that ended in profit out of days traded.
  • Current streak: how many wins or losses in a row you are on right now.

Hover over the chart to read the value at any point. The chart starts at your first closed trade.

Copy flow

A live picture of who copies whom: each master on the left with lines to the slaves that copy it.

  • A pulse travels along a line the moment a trade is copied, and the copy time appears beside it.
  • While a slave has copied trades open, its line stays blue with dashes flowing from the master to that slave. The label at the top shows how many trades are copying now.

Under it:

  • Copies today: how many copies were placed today.
  • Fastest: the quickest of your recent copies.
  • Median: the middle copy time of your recent copies. Half were faster and half were slower.
  • Profit from today's copies: what the copies placed today have made after they closed. If some are still open, "still open" shows how many and their floating profit or loss, which is not final until they close.

Example: "Copies today 33" with "Profit from today's copies +$84.20" and "2 still open +$6.10" means 31 of today's copies have closed for a total of +$84.20, and two are open and currently up $6.10.

Open monitor takes you to Trade Monitor. If the card says "No copy routes yet", put a master and a slave in the same routing group.
