Connection keys for your own terminal
The EA or NinjaTrader add-on on your computer uses this key to prove the terminal is yours.
Most accounts run on our servers and need no key. You only need a connection key when the copying runs on your computer:
- an MT5 or MT4 account set to In my own MT5/MT4 terminal with the EA, or
- a NinjaTrader 8 account.
Where to find it
Open the account's settings. The Connection key box shows the server address and the key, each with a Copy button. Paste both into the EA or the NinjaTrader add-on.
The setup steps under the key link to the EA. The NinjaTrader bridge is also on Downloads in the sidebar. See Downloads.
Keep it private
The key lets a terminal act as your account in the copier. Do not share it or post screenshots of it.
Creating a new key
Click Create a new key if the key may have leaked. The old key stops working straight away, so paste the new one into the EA or add-on on your computer.
If the terminal will not connect
- Check the server address and key were pasted in full, with no spaces.
- A message that the key "isn't valid any more" means a new key was created. Copy the current one from the dashboard.
- A message that the account "isn't on your dashboard yet" means you need to add the account in LucianAlgo first.
- Keep MetaTrader or NinjaTrader open. When it is closed, that account stops copying.
